Energy Medicine/Reiki
-
- This modality brings balance within body, mind, and spirit by working with the subtle life-force energy, or “qi,” in the body. Client sessions vary based on need. Clients can be guided to connect to their energy body and direct their own energy in their bodies. I may also provide Reiki by placing my hands on or near the client’s body in a variety of positions. I will be channeling Reiki energy directly to the client to address imbalances, stagnation and blocks within the client’s system. Energy work stimulates the client’s body to heal imbalances and increase flow. This work is effective in treating chronic pain, stress, feeling overwhelmed, feeling depleted or drained, stagnant energy, trauma/post traumatic stress, and increase healing from medical procedures.
Transpersonal Psychology
-
- This form of psychology understands that we are more than our ego and human experiences. We are spiritual beings living within a human existence. Our experiences go beyond the logical mind, including varying states of consciousness. With this understanding, I help my clients to integrate feelings and thoughts that may not make sense to their logical mind but are a part of their subconscious experience. I am also interested in exploring my client’s connection to their own spirit and how much it informs or does not inform their life.
Shamanism
-
- Shamanic practices are effective in connecting clients to power and guidance. In a Shamanic worldview, there is an unseen world operating beyond the physical realm and this world offers a wealth of resources, support, guidance, and healing. One of the main shamanic tools I use in my work is the Shamanic Journey. Similar to an interactive form of meditation, journeying offers a dependable method of obtaining information and insight from our inner experience; it creates a doorway to other levels of our conscious experience.
Buddhist Psychology
-
- Buddhist psychology provides the overarching principle and container for my practice. Buddhism understands that suffering exists in life, that we as humans create our suffering, and we also have the ability to relieve our suffering. Suffering comes from twisting away from our true nature through attachment, avoidance and unconsciousness. By taking responsibility for the life we are living, we can learn and dissolve our karmic patterns. I help my clients see the places where they have disconnected and cut themselves off from their own life energy. We find ways to reconnect and feel a deep sense of vitality.
Hypnosis
-
- Hypnosis, specifically the hypnotherapeutic trance, is a tool used to bring clients inward to attain more information at the heart of an issue. Similar to a guided meditation, clients are fully aware and in control of their experience. It is important to remember and engage in your own healing. Clients will often verbalize and describe their experience while I ask questions to help them go deeper. Clients may connect to a time in their adulthood, childhood, time in the womb, or a past life.
